What is your main photography style?
I’m super relaxed and fun! I try to make every session as fun as possible for both you and me. When my clients are having fun it will reflect in their photos.
What do your wedding packages include?
Every package has 2 main things: A certain time frame AND a second shooter for the same amount of time. I believe that every wedding should have a second shooter. As much as I want to pretend that I am THAT amazing; it’s physically impossible for me to be in 2 places at once, and/or to get one shot from two angles simultaneously. Having a second shooter is super important to me so I’ve added it into every package. Shoot me an email for more information!
How many photographers do you work with?
I have a circle of close photographer friends that I use as my second shooters. They are all friends of mine and trusted professionals. I always pull from that circle for your wedding day. I will never show up to a wedding with a photographer that I have never met before.
Will YOU be the actual photographer at my wedding if I hire you?
Absolutely!!! Obviously assuming there are no acts of God or dire last minute medical emergencies you will absolutely, 100% have ME on your wedding day. If you hire Stef Mishica Photography, you get Stef!
Do you have back-up equipment in case your camera malfunctions?
I do! Over the years I have acquired more gear and I have multiples of each piece of equipment. So if something happens it’s as easy as grabbing something else out of my camera bag!
When will my images be ready?
For family and other portrait sessions, I like to get them finished within 3 weeks - That will also depend on your session. Solo sessions won't have as many as a family of 6, so that might be done by the following week. But a newborn session might take more like 2 - 3 weeks to complete.
I promise 4 - 6 weeks for delivery of my wedding images. I always do a sneak peek very soon after the wedding so I don’t leave you hanging, but for full final completion of the entire day it will take roughly 4 - 6 weeks. You’ll also get a snazzy blog post somewhere near the end of my editing process. That will have more images than the sneak peek but it’s still a pre-cursor to the completed gallery.
How many images will I receive from my session?
The number of images you receive will greatly depend upon your session. Its always difficult to provide a specific number, but I can usually say between 15-20% of what I actually shoot.
For a 2 hour portrait session, I'd guesstimate 50-150. But it's all relative to what happens during our session time.
For your wedding day, it will depend entirely how it unfolds. Generally speaking, I average 150-250 images an hour. An 8 hour wedding day will roughly yield 2,000 images and a 6 hour wedding day will roughly yield 1,600. Again, it’s all relative to YOUR wedding day. Sometimes there will be a lull where everyone is eating and there isn’t much to capture, but then there might be an hour where there are many things happening at once. So there’s really no scientific way to tell exactly how many exact images you will receive in your collection.
Who retains the copyright to your images?
I retain the copyright to my images, but I always provide my clients with a release to allow printing and online posting.
Are you willing to travel?
Yes, yes and yes. Depending on where you want me to go there may be some travel fees involved, but I absolutely adore to travel and would love to come to you!
How many weddings do you shoot per year?
In just the last couple of years, I've added weddings to my portfolio and I'm growing each year (which I'm so excited about). I shoot anywhere from 5 to 10 weddings a year and various portrait sessions throughout. I actually do a ton of second shooting with other photographers in addition to my own workload. So sometimes you may see me out at a wedding working for another photographer/good friend of mine. If you’re interested in having me shoot YOUR wedding please don’t hesitate to ask me if I’m available. I usually book out anywhere from 6 months to 1 year in advance.
How do I book you?
Head over to my contact page and send me some information about the kind of session you're looking for.
