Hi-ya! I'm Stef.

And this is how I normally look at your wedding or session. --------------->

I wanna be your wedding planning and session-obsessed bestie... your hype-gal behind the camera... and the one you unapologetically over-text when you wanna talk wedding or session details. And I want to build real, genuine relationships with you because I am passionate about telling your story.

My weddings are a mix of documentary and portraiture. And since wedding days are made up of so many small moments that add up to something monumental - I'm there to capture them all, obsessing over the candid moments and capturing the fun and quirky details you chose that show us a glimpse into who you are. Don't be afraid to be extra - your wedding is the BEST chance to do it!

Sessions are super-chill. They're full of play and showcasing your familial connections. If your littlest one has a meltdown, I'll photograph you soothing them because THOSE are the family photos you'll cherish forever. Snuggle the kids in your lap, tickle them, tell them jokes to make those dimple-making smiles you melt over. Bring your kid's favorite toy they CANNOT live without. And bring the fur-babies, too! They're an important part of the family, and I'll take some special portraits of just them for you, too.

Some fun things about me...

I LOVE antique stores, thrift stores, and garage sales. Some of my favorite things to look for are cameras(I know, shocking), kitschy furniture and decor to use for sessions, and ALL the tchotchkes. I never have a set thing in mind when perusing… it’s more of that “you just know” feeling when you come across a treasure.

I have a vintage camera collection totaling 30+ that I’ve acquired from antique stores and gifts from clients, friends + family. I’ve got everything from the toy cameras my brothers and I had as kids to some true vintage finds I've had to figure out what I actually purchased. Some still work, a couple had old film in them, but most are just for display.

I’ve always wanted to live on a homestead/hobby farm. Goats, chickens, a cow, a horse, and a big ass garden… living the simple life and letting your hobbies and passions drive your life.

My favorite color is a nice dark teal.

Obsessed with Disney and always love an excuse to watch a movie or visit WDW.

I'm ordained!!! I can totally marry you if you wanna elope and have it be seriously just the 3 of us!

I can easily spend an entire day off playing video games. I love open world RPGs with adventure + fantasy storylines.

I’m an avid reader and I’d definitely call myself a bibliophile and not a bookworm. To me, there is nothing better than wandering around a bookstore, picking up a book, being entranced by its intoxicating scent, and disappearing into new lives and worlds for a while. My favorite genres are science fiction, fantasy, “roman-tasy”, good old fiction, love a great mystery or thriller, and I can never say no to a good smutty book. Haha. I’ve got a huge TBR pile that I’ll probably never finish but I can never resist a stop in a bookstore for “just a look” that usually ends up in 4 or 5 new books. Haha!

I'm a Sci-Fi + Fantasy nerd!

I love to cross-stitch and have been doing it since I was a kid. It’s SUCH an awesome hobby and so rewarding to admire your finished projects. When my grandma passed, I acquired her extensive - practically hoarder level - collection of fabric, thread, patterns, books and started projects I hope to finish someday!!

I grew up in the 'burbs of Chicago and moved to the Twin Cities when I was 15. So I'm definitely 'from here' now, but I'll always be a Chicago kid and love whenever I can visit!

Mexican, Indian, and practically all variations of Asian foods are my absolute favorites!! But I can never say no to a great plate of pasta or basket of fries!

My go-to coffee order is a Cold Brew with French Vanilla - Bonus points if it’s from Dunkin’! And my favorite sweet treat is a strawberry frosted donut with sprinkles. I can never resist one of those beauties. Although a classic chocolate chip cookie is a strong contender, too.

I’m always up for a good road trip. I love traveling cross-country and seeing all the different sights and landscapes, or just venturing a couple hours away in a new direction. I really love when I get to go on fun adventures for sessions or weddings, especially when it’s to places I never would’ve thought to visit. There is SO much gorgeousness to see hidden in the Midwest, and no better time to see it than the Fall!!

I’m an introvert & home-body and prefer to relax at home with my hubs & puppers, playing video games, reading, watching movies and all our favorite shows. But I also love meeting up with friends for lunch at a new spot, or to take my nephews and nieces out for Auntie-fun day and spoil them like crazy!!

The ultimate dream would be owning my own wedding venue on a super-spruced up farm. I've got a Pinterest board saved with inspiration and have tons of notes with loved + unique ideas from venues I've already photographed.
